Healthy Streams and Forests

Join our FREE workshop!

If you build it they will come! Learn how an Estacada family has balanced habitat restoration and sustainable woodlot management on their 80 acre property along Suter Creek.
Their family forest is now certified by the American Tree Farm System, which means that they conform to national requirements to integrate sustainable forestry practices into our management activities. Additionally, in 2020 they were the Clackamas County Woodland Farmer of the Year and the 2020 recipient of the “Fish & Wildlife Award for Forestlands”, by both the Oregon Dept. of Forestry and the Oregon Dept. Fish & Wildlife.
You can do it too, it is easier than you think!

You will learn about:

  • Opportunities for stream stewardship — A firsthand look at several stream enhancement projects in and along Suter Creek.
  • Small woodlot management — Strategies on how to balance managing your property for wildlife, timber, water quality, and the next generation.
  • Landowner resources — What resources are available to you as a landowner in Clackamas County.

Date: Saturday, April 9th
Time: 9 AM to 12 PM
