We will Replant the Riverside on Saturday, March 20!

Join us on the first day of Spring to plant trees to heal our lands from September’s destructive wildfires.

We will plant our trees on the property of Bob and Cynthia Patterson. They live in Estacada, on the south slope above the Estacada Reservoir. The Riverside Fire burned many of their trees and we will help them restore the riparian forest to protect the river from potential landslides, to shade the waters in the hot summer, and to come together as a community, resolved to get through these wildfires with hope for our future forests.

Time and Date: Saturday, March 20 @ 9am.

The address is22910 CADONAU RD., ESTACADA, OR 97023

Additional infoWe will limit the event to 20 people to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. All participants must remain 6 feet apart from people not in their household, and wear masks whenever interacting with people outside of their household groups. At the beginning of the event, we will share a few words to commemorate our work to Replant the Riverside and heal as a community, then we will do a brief training for how to plant these plants, then set out and plant them spaced 3-6 feet apart.

Volunteers must bring:

  • Work Gloves
  • face mask (preferably n95)
  • Work boots/sturdy shoes
  • water
  • weather appropriate clothes
  • shovel (if available)
  • story you’d like to share about your experience of the fires and what you hope to accomplish moving forward as a fire-aware, supportive community
