Folks absolutely crushed it at our last event in October, removing hundreds of pounds of blackberry and clearning nearly 1/3 of the whole site! Lets get the rest!
Join the Clackamas River Basin Council, The Girl Scouts, The City of Sandy, and community volunteers for a morning of stewardship at Tickle Creek Park! Together we’ll tackle invasive Himalayan blackberry, a fast-growing plant that spreads aggressively, outcompetes native vegetation, and reduces healthy habitat for fish and wildlife. By removing blackberry, we open space for native plants to thrive, which improves stream-side habitat, stabilizes soils, and supports the overall health of the Clackamas watershed.
The site is about an acre and is a stormwater retention area. This work will help to improve water infiltration and water quality.
What to Bring & Expect:

Wear thick clothing and sturdy shoes – blackberry thorns are no joke!

Gloves will be provided, but bringing your own is encouraged.

Please bring your own water bottle.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
- Lunch will be served!
This is a great opportunity to care for a beloved local park, connect with neighbors, and make a positive impact on the watershed. All ages and experience levels welcome!
