Part of the Stewardship Workshop Series

Our waterways are complex systems. Microorganisms, water chemistry, instream wood and plants, substrate size and streamside vegetation all play key roles in a stream’s health.

You will learn:

  • Signs of a healthy stream — How to “read” a stream and understand indicators of stream health.
  • Stream habitat — How to create stream habitat for fish, amphibians, reptiles, and macroinvertebrates.
  • Fish sampling and identification — How to identify native fish with assistance from Oregon Department of Fish
    and Wildlife.

This workshop will be held in Carver, OR. To register, contact Suzi Cloutier at (503) 303-4372 or suzi@clackamasriver.org.
