Snapshot Program
The Clackamas River Basin Council has been partnering with Portland State University for several years now to monitor water quality in area creeks during summer months. As part of their Capstone projects, students collect water quality data on macroinvertebrates, temperature, pH, turbidity (water cloudiness) and other factors, then produce a professional report interpreting those findings which is mailed to area landowners. Students and CRBC also attend A Day in Damascus, a local celebration occurring in July each year, to educate families about the importance of water quality.
If you'd like to have your stream sampled, simply contact CRBC! Sampling takes about an hour. You can find out more about Snapshot and other water quality results by clicking here.
